simply beautiful! I can't walk by my columbines without thinking of Elianna's "pig noses"!

How beautiful! You must have a green thumb, Angel! I used to have pretty purple irises like that, but they've washed out to a yucky faded yellow color the last several years. Every once in a while a pretty one comes up though!

Happy Mother's Day to you too! Hope it was sweet!

Canon EF-S 60mm f2.8 Macro. It's my favorite!

Those flowers remind me of visiting my grandmother. She had a whole garden full of iris. Ah...

Hope your Mother's Day was just as beautiful as these delightful photos.

I have no idea what that camera talk that you and Em are discussing here means, but whatever lens' you used, those pics are awesome!

Angel - What did you do to get such beautiful irises? I have planted iris bulbs for the past 2 years. In the first batch, they all came up, but only one bloomed. In this most recent batch, only one came up and it didn't bloom. What do I need to do????????

Jenny,
I don't know. These were planted before we moved in. 2 years ago they bloomed beautifully. In the fall, I cut them all back. Last year, the leaves grew, but no blooms. I was afraid I'd done something wrong, but I cut them back again in the fall (because my mom said to). This year they bloomed again bunches and bunches.
