No More Snow!

It's been such a blessing to see the sun shining and to feel its warmth.
To be able to send the kids and the puppy outside to run and play without having to bundle them up in mittens and scarves and boots first.
To open the windows and enjoy the fresh air.

It's been exciting to glimpse the first shoots of tulips and irises pushing their way through the soil and to welcome the robin redbreast once again.
This winter seemed so long and so cold, but spring-like days have come, and spring is rapidly approaching.

There hasn't been time to pull out the camera and capture some springtime pictures, but I just couldn't bear to look at my adorable kids in their snowsuits for one more day! So I pulled out this favorite from our trip to the Biltmore Estate last June. It's amazing how much the kids have grown, and I hope to have a more recent picture soon. Maybe I'll have a chance to take a few this weekend, but until then, I'll enjoy this glimpse back at last summer as I look forward to this spring. I hope you like it too!

For lo the winter has ended,
The time for the singing of birds has come!

Hi Angel! Love your new blog topper. That is just a beautiful picture of your cute kids! So glad you're enjoying signs of spring. How well I remember from our years in Dayton the anticipation of spring. Living in HI doesn't give us the opportunity to yearn for a change. I just love watching the buds appear and the countryside change to that pretty pale green! Hey, are you going to do TOG next year?

Wow! It sounds like we're way behind you in the approaching of spring. Our kids made a snowman today (although our snow is diminishing)! I love the springy picture!

To be honest, I'm still to scared to hope for Spring. As soon as I do, the snow will dump. Boy, I sound like a Gloomy Gert today. :-)

Angel, I sincerely hope those boxes are not in the middle of your living room!!! Are they??

It's like what we don't see won't hurt us...and that's a parallel to life too, isn't it??At least it is in my life.....

I like your sunny picture on your header. And you really should learn to have your camera as another appendage. I'm going to....uhhh, wait, we don't have a camera!! But WHEN we do, I'll have it around my neck constantly, if I can figure out how to work it!!! lol!!

Thanks for reading my visually uninteresting blog!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, PRAISE JESUS!!! I am SOOOO incredibly thrilled to hear that it is nice in Indiana! I was so dreading leaving the glorious weather here and heading back. PROMISE me you'll keep the sunshine for me.

To be honest, I'm one of those "imaginary friends" who reads your blog because I happened upon it somehow (homeschooling site?)

Anyway, I went to the Biltmore Estate several years ago and it is still etched in my memory. Thank you for your most beautiful inspiring blog.

Yea--a spring picture--but there's no mud in it, so it can't be Indiana! Almost got my boots sucked off by the mud in the paddock yesterday! Love the new header!

Hi there... I Don't think I realized you had moved over here!! :)

Cute kids... And I hear you for done with winter... oh I hear you... It snowed a couple inches last weekend. Its actually nice because it covered up the nasty dirty poopy snow from the melting we had the previous week 1/2. the tease.

Anyway... good to "see" you over here.

Dear Angel,
The picture of your children is so sweet. We live near the Biltmore and enjoy our visits there each time we go.
So happy for you that your temps are getting warmer. We've had warm days sprinkled in each week this winter and have enjoyed each and every one. : )
Have a blessed day,
Julie D.

I thought the kids looked younger than I remember them looking. :-)
